Use the NTreport buttons in NTinfo to create and execute NTinfo macros (i.e. NTreport scripts).



Create script from GUI button

·Click this button to create an NTreport script from the current NTinfo option checkboxes, event log fields and domain / machine selector settings.  

Set GUI from script

·This button is only enabled when a valid script exists in the NTreport editor.  
·Click the button to set the NTinfo option checkboxes, event log fields and domain / machine selector according to the current NTreport script.  

Speed buttons

Use the speed buttons to quickly perform common NTinfo tasks.



There are three visible buttons and seven hidden buttons (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 0).

Basically, what these button does is this:

·Load an NTreport script file  
·Run the script  

Script file names

·Button "1" runs "ntinfo_1.cnu".  
·Button "2" runs "ntinfo_2.cnu".  
·Button "9" runs "ntinfo_9.cnu".  
·Button "0" runs "ntinfo_0.cnu".  
·etc.  

How to use the buttons

·Create your own NTreport script. (Use the "ResultGrid.xx" commands in NTreport to get a nicely formatted view.)  
·Save the script with one of the above file names.  
·Click the corresponding button or use the key combination ALT + button number to use the script whenever you like.

Example - edit the included file "ntinfo_2.cnu"

·Click "SetupBatcher & NTreport", click "Open", choose "ntinfo_2.cnu". Shortcut (for visible buttons only): press Ctrl+Shift + click the button labeled "2".  
·In the section labeled "[Batch_Begin]", on the row that starts with "Get.Data"; replace the text "%LocalMachine%" with the name of one of any NT / 2000 / XP computer in your network.  
·Click "Save" to save "ntinfo_2.cnu".  
·Run the script - click "NTinfo", click the button labeled "2" or press ALT+2 on the keyboard. Notice: since this is a normal NTreport script, it is also possible to run it by clicking "Run Batch" in NTreport or by running NTreport from the command line.
