NTreport is basically the script version of NTinfo. NTreport can automatically scan one or many windows domains or machines for data, filter the data, export data or perform various actions depending on the data. Export data: collected data can be formatted in many different ways and written to a clear-text file or exported to other applications via the clipboard. Trigger other applications: filter information and use an if..endif statement to trigger other applications. Call net send to send winpopup messages. Send reports by PGP encrypted E-mail by using a third party command line tool.
Scripts can be started in GUI mode, called from the command line by other applications, or executed by the schedule service at a specific time every day. You can write scripts in the built-in editor, with notepad, or with any clear text editor. Almost an entire script can easily be created by using the NTreport speed buttons in NTinfo. You can also build your own scripts from the examples in this manual.
